요약 Professor Henry Rosobsky spoke on 'Demand for
High-Level Human Resource Development and Curriculum
Reform" in a special lecture delivered at the Korea Development
Institute on August 9, 1994, as part of KDI's Distinguished
Lecturer Program. During his presentation and subsequent
question-and -answer session, Professor Rosobsky discussed the
many challenges that systems of higher education around the
world will have to overcome in order to meet society's demands
in the 21st century. Drawing upon his wealth of knowledge and
experience gained as a dean at Harvard University, professor
Rosobsky defined the role of institutions of higher learning, and
suggested strategies for approaching new developments in an era
of rapid economic and societal transformation.

Formerly Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at
Harvard University, Professor Rosobsky wrote The University:
An Owner's Manual (1190), which has sparked much intense
discussion among leading thinkers and administrators in the field
of higher education. he has also been a Professor of Economics
ar Harvard University since 1965, and has written extensively in
the field of Japanese economic history. His works include Capital
Formation in Japan (1961), Quantitative Japanese Economic
History(1961), and Japanese Economic Growth (1973).
