This paper intends to comprehensively investigate the steps
Korea has taken to address the pressing issue of urban poverty
which took its roots in the country`s rapid industrialization of
the past three decades, as well as consider its specific changes
in policy to accommodate economic, political and social changes
over the years. In doing so, perhaps Korea`s unique experiences
can be of use to similar policy directives cast in the future.
