Education Center(EIEC) - The center collects and analyzes economic data and information. It publishes periodicals that provide
information on the Korean economy and economic policies. The center also conducts public surveys on key economic
issues and provides economic education based on customized curriculum.
Scope of Research and Activities
• Developing educational programs and materials
• Producing public-relation materials and analysis of economic news
• Conducting surveys on economic policies and the current status of economic issues
• Building and analyzing databases for economic policies
• Enhancing public understanding of economic affairs through various projects

- Narakyungje
- Narakyungje is the only magazine on economic policies in Korea that is edited and published in collaboration with 16 economic ministries, including the Ministry of Economy and Finance. In 2022, Narakyungje plans the year-round project, which hears our life changes and recommendations for the public in the post-COVID-19 era from a wide range of scholars in Korea.
- Economic Bulletin
- Since the first issue in June 1992, the main purpose of the Economic Bulletin has been to enhance the overall understanding of the Korean economy and to provide accurate information to international readers including foreign corporations and institutions, and Korean government agencies stationed overseas.

Public Opinion Survey 1
The EIEC’s public and experts’ opinion survey was on pending economic issues and policies such as economic policy direction, real estates, start-ups and the services industry, which provided fundamental information to the formulation and implementation of government policies.

Big Data Analysis and Visualization 2
EIEC developed a Korean version of the Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) Index based on news texts analysis, releasing it once a month since 2019. EPU supports the decision-making process for policy responses and can be used as indices to forecast future economic trends.

e-Economic Information Review Online Quarterly Magazine 3
As the digital transformation progresses rapidly, we are confronted with the need to adapt to the ongoing changes in society and the economy. In this regard, EIEC launched the quarterly online magazine e-Economic Information Review in 2019. The magazine features videos, articles, social media analysis, public survey and infographics on pressing challenges and the latest technical innovations such as “Digital Platform”, “Blockchain and Bitcoin”, “Smart City”, “Artificial Intelligence (AI)”, “Cloud computing”, “Digital Healthcare”, “Metaverse,” and so on.

Educational Training 4
The EIEC has executed a number of economics education projects including: Economics Education for Social Studies at Middle and High Schools and Non-Social Studies Teachers at Elementary, Middle and High Schools, Economy Class for the Youth, operation of Economics Education Website, Economics Education for Central and Local Government Officials, Economics Classroom for Civil Society, and Economics Education Using Media.
