As global challenges become increasingly interconnected and the actors, and financing instruments involved in development co-operation continue to diversify, effective co-ordination across government has become increasingly important for improving the effectiveness and policy coherence of development co-operation.

In this context, the KDI Center for International Development (CID) and the OECD Development Co-operation Directorate (DCD) are pleased to co-host the 2026 KDI-OECD Global Forum on Development Cooperation. Under the theme "Whole-of-Government Co-ordination for Development Co-operation: from Institutional Design to Effective Policy Practice," the Forum aims to share the key findings and to provide a platform for policy dialogue and peer learning to strengthen whole-of-government coordination in development co-operation.

The Forum will examine how DAC members organize and manage co-ordination across government, with country case studies highlighting different approaches to institutional design and implementation. It will also address how whole-of-government co-ordination works in practice in key areas of development co-operation, including climate change and private sector engagement.
