[Conference] The New Dynamics of Summitry: Institutional Innovations for G20 Summits

ㅁ Subject : The New Dynamics of Summitry: Institutional Innovations for G20 Summits
ㅁ Date : April 21~22, 2010
ㅁ Place : Brookings Institution, Washington D.C., The USA

Word of Invitation

This conference aims to generate new ideas for institutional innovations for G20 Summits, facilitating the transition of G20 summits from crisis management to a global steering committee for the world economy, and simultaneously meeting the tensions between effectiveness and representativeness legitimacy involved in the trade-offs between strengthened strategic leadership and greater inclusion. Short papers embodying new ideas and institutional innovations will be circulated in advance to facilitate brief presentations with maximum time being devoted to discussion, identifying the most promising proposals and indicating their further elaboration as specific, practical and feasible recommendations for adoption in future summit practice.
